Powder Beauty Drawer - Christmas Bumper Edition

This is my third beauty box from Powder and so far my favourite, in terms of both value and percentage of products I will actually use.

Its contents are supposedly worth over £163, yet it's only £40 (free postage). I wouldn't be surprised if this one sells out very quickly.

Starting with the body & hair products, from left to right:

Elemis British Botanical Body Cream 50ml - worth £6.25 ( RRP £25 for 200ml). I love the smell of this and it does a good moisturising job, but I will not purchase the full size because I don't feel that it's good enough to replace what I currently use.

Nuxe Prodigieux Precious Scented Shower Oil 30ml - worth £3 (RRP £10 for 200ml). I already have this shower oil in my bathroom, so I knew that I would like it. Smells good, leaves my skin soft, it's an all round decent shower oil.

OGX Weightless Hydration Coconut Water Shampoo and Conditioner 88.7ml each - worth £1.61 each (based on RRP £6.99 for 385ml). Again, both of these products I've used before and liked, so I'm happy to add them to the bathroom.

Imedeen Derma One 60 tablets (1 month supply), £36.99. Almost always on offer (3 for 2) at Boots. These tablets have had raving reviews. Rich in zinc and vitaminc C, they claim to contribute to the maintenance of healthy skin. I've just started trying these, and am curious to see whether they do make a difference after a month.

St. Tropez Self Tan Classic Bronzing Mist 125ml, £14 - I've never liked or used fake tan products, and ones I receive in beauty boxes always get thrown out. Needless to say that this will meet the same fate.

Olay Total Effects 7in1 Anti-Ageing Moisturiser SF 15 50ml (full size), £14.99. Not sure what to do with this product; I can't fit this into my skincare routine, so it will probaby be relegated to hand cream.

Lipcote Original Lipstick Sealer, full size, £3.69 - Supposedly makes your lipstick transfer, fade and feather resistant, but as I don't wear lipstick, this isn't for me.

Maybelline Color Sensational The Loaded Bolds Fiery Fuchsia, full size, £6.99 - As its name suggests, this is a bold medium fuchsia with good colour payoff. Since it's a lipstick, it's not for me.

Swatch:

NARS Limited Edition Orgasm Blush, full size, £28 - I didn't realise that this was the limited edition blush (8g) as opposed to the regular size (4.8g)! Definitely one of my favourites in this box; it's a product that I've always been curious about but never got round to trying.

The skincare products:

Philosophy Purity Made Simple 3-in-1 Cleanser 90ml, £8.50 - I've used this cleanser before, and while it did the job, I didn't find it particularly amazing, so never repurchased. The small 90ml size is perfect for travelling, though.

Philosophy Take A Deep Breath Oil-Free Oxygenating Gel Cream 5ml, worth £2.46 (RRP £29.50 for 60ml)

Balance Me Pure Skin Face Wash 50ml, worth £6.40 (RRP £16 for 125ml) - I remeber getting one of these free with a magazine a while ago, when Balance Me products were included in almost every single beauty box. I liked the face wash, but I didn't like it enough to buy the full size.

FOREO Luna Play, £29 - If you don't have the full size Luna, this could be worth trying since each device comes with a code for 20% discount on a £169 Luna 2, effectively making it free if you were to purchase the full size afterwards. Not to mention it's extremely portable and ridiculously cute (check out the size comparison with a vial of fragrance sample). That being said, since I have a Luna Mini as well as a Luna 2, I can't see myself using this non rechargeable device which is good for only "up to" 100 uses. Sure, its small size is convenient, but realistically that doesn't make it any more travel friendly than the biggest Luna. I'd recommend just going straight for a Luna (it's worth it).

Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Daily Cleansing Pads, 5 pads, worth £1.08 (RRP £12.95 for 60 pads) - Probably not something I'll start trying straight away, but these are certainly handy to have.

Adding up everything in the box, assuming that my calculations are correct, it's worth £164.57! And certainly the best value Powder box that I've purchased to date.
