I've just got my hands on the November 2015 issue of BITEKI magazine. Since I have the digital issue, I'm missing out on the freebies, such as this issue's Daniella & Gemma clutch bag, but having them all on my iPad means it's worth it. Besides, most of the freebies either end up being thrown out or lost in the house.

Here are a few looks from the latest issue of my favourite Japanese beauty magazine, 美的 BITEKI. Unlike a lot of beauty magazines that feature editorially stunning yet difficult to pull off looks, the makeup looks in BITEKI are always clean, elegant and most importantly, wearable.

The lack of time to write beauty review posts certainly hasn't stopped me from buying Japanese beauty magazines! Though instead of physical magazine copies, I have recently decided to switched digital editions. This means I'm missing out on the occasional decent freebie, but digital issues don't take up any storage space, can be easily accessed on PC/laptop/iPad.

Ah, BITEKI, my favourite Japanese beauty magazine (as well as favourite magazine overall)! It always makes my day when the latest issue lands in my hands.

The June issue comes with a free Biteki x Mandom face mask, a striped waterproof pouch and a 35 page booklet featuring the summer makeup collections complete with colour swatches. Unfortunately for my wallet, I'm already eyeing up quite a few items...

Sweet (スウィート) Magazine May 2014 with MERCURYDUO tote

Wow, I’m popular with couriers today! Hot on the heels of UPS dropping off my Clarisonic Aria, was DHL delivering the May 2014 issue of Japanese fashion magazine Sweet.

This month’s magazine freebie is a cute MERCURYDUO tote – I do love bags! Its dimensions are 13cm x 20cm x 7cm, and is the perfect size to carry a phone, wallet and small makeup bag.

The tote comes with a removable shoulder strap (sadly the length isn’t adjustable), allowing it to be worn across the body.
